Origin cannot add friend

Add each other, we dont see any requests and bottom line is that i tried to contact support but it didnt help! After the update, I go to add my friends only to see the attached image. Checked my Firewall settings, added Origin.

I own this game on xbox. A friend and I are trying to add each other as friends so we can play MP together. I am able to search for him but clicking Add Friend does nothing.

My friend found me and added. I look up my friend and click, Add Friend but absolutely NOTHING happens. No Request Sent, message, nothing. Before you ask, there are no typos in the names which is verified by looking at his and my avatars.

There is nothing wrong with either internet connection. Both are rock solid and run Steam without issue. When i clicked send friend request the first time, it appeared to send it.

But he never got it, and he sent me one I never got. He gets the same thing for me.
